Gibsons Aikido and Systema
Gibsons Aikido and Systema was established in 1999 as a means to provide people with a path to self discovery through martial training.
The school is located on a private 2 1/2 wooded acreage in the small town of Gibsons, on the scenic Sunshine Coast of British Columbia Canada. It is close to local amenities and a short ferry ride from the city of Vancouver.
Allen Wynne, Owner/Chief Instructor
Having studied various martial arts since childhood Allen began his Aikido training in 1990 and his Systema journey in 2005.
With over 25 years martial arts experience and a natural teaching ability, Allen's classes are informative, progressively challenging, and fun.
As a blind Martial artist his major focus is on the use and development of awareness, sensitivity, and intuition as tools for self discovery, defense, survival, and the enjoyment of everyday life.
He offers a variety of specialized workshops for both blind and sighted individuals.
Allen is passionate about his training and is constantly upgrading his skills, traveling frequently to train with high-level instructors.
This ensures that you are provided with quality classes and that the information you receive is current and up-to-date.
Allen has been practicing as a Shiatsu therapist since 1994. He has a unique sense of touch which is firm, intuitive and healing.
Allen is a past member of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of BC and holds diplomas in Zen Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
